I remember I saw an advance screening of Gangster Squad. Shortly after, I bumped into a pretty-famous actor who is not in the movie, and I started a conversation. He asked copious questions about the movie (which was... not good!) and while he was interested in the quality of the movie, he claimed to be watching his words, because he "had friends" in the movie (which... in retrospect makes sense, but it wasn't immediately obvious). It felt so unique to see this rather-prolific actor show so much curiosity about how the sausage was made.
This was also days before the movie was coming out, so I may have been one of the first to tell him about how that movie would be received. Like maybe he had considered taking a role in the cast, and was now realizing he had dodged a bullet. Definitely a reminder that the people who make movies are, at the end of the day, just regular people.
Don't you hate when a random and senseless mass shooting incident prevents the release of a Christmas movie? :)
Can't wait to share the hate. :)
St Valentine's Day massacre has entered the chat.
much like Spiderman catching the helicopter in a web spanning the twin towers scene that was scrapped after 9.11 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMG5Td1839k
Imagine if they'd taken out the Brooklyn Bridge.
Too soon?!
I remember this! Just looked up the film on IMDb and it has a great cast. I will try to track it down.
Ooof, it's very not good. Be careful what you wish for.
