I was going to suggest they watch an episode of Loudermilk to ease recovery from drug addiction. But that's way after their time.

Loudermilk. Who came up with that name? We've taken to call Ron Livingston, "Petermilk". :)

"Hey, Peter Man! Check out the breast exam!" :) #OfficeSpace

My life in movie quotes. My next book, I'm sure. :)

Wow! You're telling me! :)

I remember there was a newspaper--The Point Reyes Light--that earned a Pulitzer for exposing the practices at Synanon.

Between that and Eartha Kitt and Edmond O'Brien in Grouchy Old Man mode, it was indeed a weird time. :)

Now all we have, cult-wise, is Scientology and the Supreme Court. As for movies with a message, it’s pretty much all right wing propaganda like “1000 Mules,” or Hallmark Christmas films.

Excuse me????

MAGA? QAnon?

Sure, but where's MAGA's big mainstream movie (or, more realistically, low-budget B picture)? Did Columbia ever make a picture about Q-Anon? Of course, Columbia is owned by the Japanese now, so if they were into cult pix they'd likely be more interested in cranking out an encomium to Aum Shinrikyo.

Sad but O so true. I kinda miss the honest weirdness of Heaven's Gate.
