Last year I watched "The Long Hair of Death" which ...didn't suck. ( Though the title evidently must have sounded better in the original Italian)
So then I watched "Castle of Blood " which also.... didn't suck. (Co-directed by Sergio Corbucci !)
So yeah , Anthony made a lot of films. A lot of which...,sucked. Some of which didn't.
He made a lot of movies. Put a lot of good union into work. I bet we would be astonished by all of the people that were conceived in the backseat during an Anthony Dawson movie.
Anthony M. did do some very effective work behind the camera, although it's hard to go wrong when you've got Barbara Steele in front of it. (Amazingly, the title The Long Hair of Death is a literal translation from the Italian, but maybe it's an allusion or some hyper-local idiom that makes more sense in its mother tongue?)
Anthony Lane has nothing on Scott when it comes to giving bad movies their proper disrespect.
Errrr, that's not oil on their pecs, Scott. Remember it's not who you know...

I've got long coin on it being an idiom for a spider's web.
